HEART Ministries is a nonprofit ministry with a passion to helping people in need within our community while sharing the gospel and love of Christ. Our ministry has partnered with Alachua County Social Services to identify men, women and children of all ages within our local area with needs of all kinds. It is our prayer that God will place people in our path with specific needs so that He can use us to provide specific resources and provide us an opportunity to share His amazing love. Once these individuals or families are identified, we will learn of their specific needs (such as food, clothing, blankets, hygiene products, baby care, etc.) and work with our church family to meet the needs. When we deliver the items to those in need, it will provide us the opportunity to encourage them and share the gospel.
The apostle Peter wrote in 1 John 3:16-18, “16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
It is our hope that you will prayerfully consider contributing to our ministry’s growth by helping us put love into action and collect items to make this ministry a success!
We are currently accepting ANY new or gently used items you are willing to part with, such as non perishable food items, paper goods, blankets, clothing, baby needs, or anything you feel led to give. As this ministry grows, we’ll become more familiar with specific needs and will provide those specific needs as they’re brought to our attention.
